Na continuação do anterior post MÚSICAS DA DÉCADA DE 50, (7) acerca do livrete de música – “BEST SONGS”, vou relembrar a música cuja letra  vinha na página 17 – TELL ME WHY 

Música de Marty Gold e Al Alberts, originalmente gravada por “The Four Aces” e regravado por Eddie Fisher com a orquestra e  coro de Hugo Winterhalter em 5 Dezembro de 1951 . The Four Aces com esta canção,  atingiu o “n.º  2  hit in 1951”. Pode-se  ouvir esta versão em (1)
A versão de Eddie Fisher, atingiu o n.º 7 in 1952. (2) (3) Muito possivelmente , a inclusão da letra da canção neste “livrete” corresponda à versão de Eddie Fisher, cantor romântico muito popular nessa altura.

Bobby Vinton gravou a sua versão em 1964, tendo atingido o n.º 13 no “Billboard’s Hot 100”. Foi através desta versão (4) que conhecia esta música (talvez em 1965). Desconhecia as versões anteriores.

Edwin Jack “Eddie” Fisher (5), 1928 – 2010, cantor romântico de sucesso na década de 50. Neste “clip” (6) poderão ouvi-lo na canção “Tell Me Why” , retirado duma série da TV que o mesmo protagonizou nessa época. Como era usual nos primeiros passos da TV a canção foi gravado “ao vivo” (por isso com alguns erros na letra da canção)
